D1 has put forth a change in their Transfer Portal Rule.
D1 schools can sign the student to a valid settlement related benefits agreement and that releases the school from having to follow the notification of transfer process
RECRUITING -- NOTIFICATION OF TRANSFER -- RELEASE OF OBLIGATIONS PER SETTLEMENT RELATED BENEFITS AGREEMENT
Status: Adopted Final
Intent: To specify that an institution is not required to enter a student-athlete's information into the national transfer database if the student-athlete and the institution have entered into a valid settlement related benefits agreement that releases the institution from the obligations of the notification of transfer process.
Bylaws: Amend 13.1.1.4, as follows
