Baylor completes meeting with NCAA's Committee on Infractions surrounding sexual assault scandal

Baylor University has completed a two-day virtual hearing with the NCAA's Committee on Infractions following the sexual assault scandal that rocked the school's football program years ago.

ESPN reports the university has been charged with "lack of institutional control."

Former head coach Art Briles, who was fired in 2016, is also facing charges from the NCAA of "failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance," according to ESPN.

The NCAA will make a decision in the months ahead.

Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades said in a statement "we believe we were given a fair opportunity to present our positions, and as we move forward, we remain excited about the future of our football program."
